Refund/Cancellation Policy for Classes and Events

If I have to cancel all or part of a class:

You will receive a full refund if I need to cancel a class or event entirely, and a prorated refund if I have to cancel a portion of a class or am unable to teach that class meeting due to a problem on my end.

If you cancel or do not attend:

For Zoom Classes & Workshops:

For cancellations up to 2 weeks prior to the start of class—

I will refund your course fee, minus a $10 admin charge.

From 2 weeks to 1 week prior to the start of class—

I will refund of 80% of the course fee. Except, IF I am able to fill your spot from the waitlist, I will refund the full course fee, minus a $10 admin charge. Don’t count on this! Within a few weeks of the course start, people have often made other plans.

Within 1 week of the start of class, no refunds.

For Small Group Help Sessions:

Up to 24 hours in advance, simply email me to reschedule to a later session .

Within 24 hours of the start of your session—

I am willing to reschedule for situations beyond your control (e.g. power or internet outages or genuine emergencies). Please be respectful and take responsibility for situations that were under your control (e.g. you decided at the last minute you’d rather do something else or you just forgot).

This courtesy may be revoked if it becomes a too-common occurrence.

If you have life circumstances that make scheduling unusually challenging for you, please let me know when you sign up. I am happy to make a plan to work with you if you hav a special situation that increases the chances you might need to cancel at the last minute. (Typically this involves sharing more contact information so that we can more easily contact each other on short notice.)
