$150, 4 weeks, Thursdays, 9-11 am Pacific Time, Sep 10-Oct 1, 2020

Experience Level: novices

Capacity: Maximum of 12 (must have 6 enrolled for course to run)

By “novice” I mean you have your own basic watercolor supplies and have completed a beginner course or similar self-study (something similar to my Watercolor Jumpstart course, but you need not have covered the exact same topics).

Ask questions, build new technical skills and get coaching as you work on projects of your own. This course is for people who have completed a beginner course, but still need some assistance with some of the technical skills that can take time to master, e.g., color mixing, judging values, laying smooth washes, controlling soft and hard edges, wet-into-wet and texture techniques, glazing, brush-handling, lifting and masking, etc.

The course is run in 4-week sessions, with some breaks in between, but you may repeat/continue with another session. However, to accommodate more time zones, class times will rotate from mornings to afternoons to evenings and back again.

I will be talking with you during class about possibly setting up “social painting” connections with your classmates, if you want to keep meeting on your own at the same time to paint together until the class comes back around to a convenient time for you.

Note: If there are just one or two pesky topics that give you trouble, you may find it more efficient to schedule one or two individual coaching sessions to “tune up” just those areas.
